Lung herniation is a rare clinical condition that usually develops after a thoracic trauma as a herniation of pulmonary parenchyma through a defect in the chest wall. In this case report, we discuss anaesthetic management of a patient undergoing lumbar laminectomy who had a lung herniation that was incidentally diagnosed in the preanaesthetic visit.
