ABSTRACT

Unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis can be caused by trauma, previous cardiac surgery, tumors, neuromuscular diseases or infections and most cases are asymptomatic. In this article, we aimed to present a patient with unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis, measures to prevent difficulties that may occur during preoperative period, relevant intraoperative approach, and detection and treatment modalities of postoperative complications.
